BASELWORLD 2018 | Dates of the Basel Watch Fair
The most important event of the year dedicated to watchmaking and jewellery, Baselworld 2018 will be held from 22 to 27 March 2018.
The most striking news is that the world watch fair, reflecting the downturn period affecting the entire sector, despite recent positive signs, will see its duration reduced by two days. The day reserved for the press will be Wednesday, 21 March 2018.

The 2017 edition recorded over 106,000 visits compared to 145,000 in 2016. This year the press representatives numbered 4,400 (+87% compared to 2016) and, thanks to the wide reach of the media, over 86,000 people (in 2016 they were 11,000) followed live the press conference that, as every year, opens the Basel fair.
The event, which began in 1917 in a modest corner dedicated to watches and jewellery within the Schweizer Mustermesse Basel (muba) trade fair, after the 2013 restructuring can now count on 141,000 square metres of exhibition space.
