CO2 emissions …..brilliant
It seems that a group of Chinese scholars, after years of study, testing, and work, have succeeded in producing diamonds that are very, very small, with a diameter of a few millimeters, colorless and clear (not milky), using as nourishment... carbon dioxide.
The production method should be much more economical than any other currently in use; it is no news that diamond is already produced synthetically, although the production costs are still high. Naturally, to the diamond testers used by less experienced shopkeepers, the readings will indicate that it is diamond, so the sale valuation will be equal to that given to natural material which, alas, comes from Mother Earth.
All this to say that the safest channel for purchasing natural material is and remains your trusted jeweler, preferably a gem expert... For others, there remains the uncertainty of buying on trust and a probable thanks to the Chinese scholars who will deprive us of CO2.
