TagHeuer pays tribute to Ayrton Senna
A special edition of the new TagHeuer Formula 1 pays tribute to the Brazilian racing driver who passed away in 1994. The aim is to celebrate Senna’s mastery in the racing world with a timepiece. TagHeuer honours Ayrton Senna!
Ayrton Senna
Ayrton Senna da Silva was a Brazilian racing driver, three-time world champion in Formula 1 in 1988, 1990, and 1991. He tragically died during a track accident in 1994, at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola.
Nicknamed Magic, he is still considered one of the greatest, most talented, and influential drivers of all time, a representative and iconic figure in world motor racing.
He is also remembered for his generous spirit, which often led him to charity work, especially towards his homeland. After his death, his sister Viviane founded the Senna Foundation, a private organisation that aims to give a chance to those who have never had one in life.
TagHeuer, always alongside motor racing, chose to dedicate a chronograph to this Formula 1 icon, with a design inspired by the driver’s spirit.

On the track
The calfskin strap has a black lining with yellow stitching, fully in Senna’s style. The embossing of the "S" motif is wonderful and exclusive. The steel buckle has a double safety clasp system, making the chronograph ideal and comfortable even over a racing suit.
