Summer: does silver suffer from the heat?
Summer has now arrived and the stifling heat often makes us wonder if our jewels suffer from it or get damaged by water and sweat. Silver, in particular, "does not like the heat", especially if the climate is quite humid. It tends to darken easily, losing all its characteristic brightness.

1: aim for dryness!
To avoid damaging our jewels, especially during summer, the trick is to try to keep them dry. Always try to store your trinkets in a dry and cool place, to prevent the moisture in the air from dulling them. It is also important to avoid storing multiple jewels in the same spot: they might scratch each other since, with the heat, the softness of silver naturally makes it more vulnerable. A great idea, instead, is to use small bags with silica gel to absorb moisture.
2: better to remove jewels at the right time!
Chemical substances such as perfumes, insect-repellent sprays, cosmetics, and creams could damage our silver. Even in the kitchen, our jewels are at risk: just think that substances like mayonnaise, eggs, mustard, and onions can dull them very quickly because they contain sulfur, a substance that causes an immediate reaction on jewels. Finally, please remember: it’s best to remove your jewels when you enter the swimming pool!
3: don’t forget cleaning
