It has a historic passion for water sports, expressing a true and deep connection with the environment. LOCMAN therefore could not help but dedicate a watch line to its natural element. Thus was born the Mare collection: which conveys the sensation of water on the skin and allows you to carry the memory of the waves with you everywhere. Even in the city. But it’s not just the evocative name. The entire collection is built with a “marine” spirit: from the aesthetics to the materials, from practical use to the eco-friendly commitment embraced by LOCMAN itself. The distinctive feature of the Mare collection is the image on the dial at 6 o’clock, which in the 44mm version depicts a shark: not just a simple decoration, but a true cultural reference to the ancient peoples of the Mediterranean, for whom the shark represented the idea of strength and freedom, a powerful symbol of protection for sailors. The Mare collection also allows LOCMAN to take concrete action in favor of the environment. Part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Isola d’Elba Foundation, dedicated to protecting the territory, and to the environmental association Marevivo, which fights for the protection of the sea at both national and international levels.
